Greenville, SC was the once the textile capital of the world. Today, Greenville and the Upstate region at large is widely regarded as a hub for manufacturing of all types. The area attracts both international and domestic operations. Childs Architecture brings a polished appearance to the warehouses, plants, distribution centers and corporate headquarters that keep these operations powering on.
Fränkische North American Headquarters
Childs Architecture was engaged to convert a drab brick office front into a polished North American Headquarters for Fränkische, a German pipe and hose company. By adding bold awnings in Fränkische’s signature yellow and giving the entire front a fresh look, Childs transformed the original building into a fitting base of operations for this globally renowned company.
Orion Distribution Center
Childs Architecture was challenged by the developer to make the building memorable to enhance the success of finding a tenant. We modernized this 14-acre, mid-century modern warehouse, transforming it into a bright, memorable structure with a tone-on-tone color scheme and strong structural details.
Palmetto State Distribution Center
Working with a basic, pre-engineered metal structure, Childs Architecture designed the building’s exterior to create a polished, stately public headquarters for Palmetto State Transportation. The interior houses corporate offices and the truck depot.
