Suzanne Childs


A creative expert with more than 25 years of experience, Suzanne opened Childs Architecture in 2001.

Before starting her own business, Suzanne worked for a variety of architectural design firms in the Upstate including Tarleton Tankersley Architectural Group and Townsend Architectural Planning Group. Her passion for innovation and collaboration gives her a unique vision for solutions tailored to each client’s functional, creative and financial needs.

A dedicated leader in the community, Suzanne serves on the Board of Directors for the Powdersville Water District and is a past Board member for the Clemson Architectural Foundation. She is also an active member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the American Institute of Architects.

Off the job, she is most likely to be found in the great outdoors where she loves hiking, swimming and serving as a volunteer with Friends of the Dupont State Recreational Forest.

Suzanne received her Bachelor of Science at Clemson University in 1987 and went on to obtain her Master of Architecture in 1989.
